Well, it looks like Google's got a finger in yet another proverbial pie: virtual worlds. They're calling it "Lively". You sign in with your Google Account, create an avatar, and then can visit virtual spaces that can be embedded into any web page. That seems like the direction Google is going: Create functionality and social apps, then allow them to be used by anyone on their own web site.

Well, I've been able to enter the room and all, but haven't been able to find anything interesting yet. We'll see how this experiment goes.
